Florida Independent Breweries Need Your Help!

​

In the interest of public health and safety, Florida distilleries have closed tasting rooms, suspended tours, and cancelled large events to limit exposure to COVID-19.

​

As a result, distillers have been forced to make difficult decisions, including, in some cases, shutting down production and laying off staff.

​

At the same time, Florida distillers are doing their part to help their communities by converting facilities to make hand sanitizer for first responders, health care workers, and the public.

​

However, these local businesses fear they may not be able to survive this crisis. 

​

This would be an incredible loss to the Florida economy, as the distilled spirits industry supports more than 70,000 jobs in Florida and generates $6.3 billion in state GDP.

​

That’s why we need YOU to urge Governor Ron DeSantis and the state legislature to relax current laws and regulations that prevent Florida distillers selling directly to Florida consumers by phone, e-mail, and online platforms to facilitate home delivery. This would:

​

• allow Florida distillers to bring in vital revenue for their businesses and retain staff during this incredibly uncertain time;

• allow Florida consumers to buy their favorite spirits and support their favorite local distillers from the safety of their homes;

• provide a revenue opportunity for the state of Florida.
